Doctor Who: 8 April Fools' That You Hate Yourself For Believing

Zayn Malik is the new companion... apparently.

If you haven't learned the hard way already, April Fool's Day is upon us once again. It's the day on which you can't believe anything you read in the press (more so than usual) and generally spend the whole day walking around feeling distrustful of everyone you meet. And the fun and jollity of the annual festivities even stretch to the realms of the Doctor Who universe, too. The Doctor is never ones to miss out on a party, after all, and fan blogs and news outlets alike are always trying their hand at delivering the next gobsmacking timey-wimey prank to shock and enthral the Whovian masses in equal measure. Zayn Malik joining the TARDIS as the Doctor's new companion? You never know. John Barrowman starring in a Doctor Who Musical? Stranger things have happened. In short, you can never really be sure when it comes to Doctor Who pranks, and here are 8 ones that you hate yourself for almost believing...
