Doctor Who: 8 Big Questions After Time Heist

7. How Did The Doctor Break Into The Bank In Advance Of Breaking Into The Bank?

In true timey-wimey Doctor Who fashion, this wasn't any old bank heist. This was a bank heist orchestrated by a Doctor from the future, where his past self and his companions were learning why they were robbing the bank even as they carried out the crime. The mystery of who the architect was may have been more obvious then it was intended, but it did pose one big question; how did the Doctor leave the suitcases for his earlier self to find when the bank was impregnable? This might be the episode's only flaw. The Doctor couldn't land the TARDIS inside the vaults and yet he was able to leave the gifts for his crew. Perhaps it has something to do with the solar storm. It was the one point where the bank of Karabraxos was vulnerable to attack. Perhaps the Doctor was able to fly the TARDIS into the ruins of the bank after the planet was devastated and from there travel back through time in the space spot, placing the suitcases at convenient places. Or maybe... ...we don't have an answer for this one. Just like the question of how the TARDIS was able to reach Gallifrey last week even though it was time locked, maybe this is one plot point we'd better leave right alone...
