Doctor Who: 8 Other Ways To Celebrate The 50th Anniversary

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Well, it's October. That means we are now less than two months away from the 50th anniversary world-wide simulcast of "The Day of the Doctor". For some of us, that's just too long to wait to celebrate fifty years of one of the finest TV shows ever made! So to keep yourselves busy over the next few weeks, I have a few suggestions. Some of these directly celebrate the show's history, others are just a part of it. All of them are very much worth your time...

8. An Adventure In Space And Time

Doctor Who David Bradley We don't know yet exactly when this docudrama will air, but I suspect it will be soon. It's basically a behind-the-scenes story showing the creation of the series with noted character actor David Bradley as William Hartnell. There isn't a trailer yet, but the early buzz is promising and frankly, the man just looks every bit the Doctor! We'll also get actors playing the actors who played Ian, Barbra, Susan and the Second Doctor. This likely also means that we're going to get extensive reconstructions of some of the missing episodes. This looks so promising, and David Bradley seems so perfect for the role, that I really hope they find a way to bring him back actually playing the First Doctor. Whether this is on screen or through a Big Finish audio, I don't really care. But I want it!
