8. Dont ever think youre capable of that.
This is one of the moments when we see a flash of the Dream Lord. The three Ponds tell the Doctor to follow a mysterious summons, and he refuses. He tells them hes sending them home, then he sits down and makes them come to him. Then he delivers the above line, and what we can see and hear in him at that moment is intense disdain. A brilliant mind, an alien creature with depths we cant imagine, someone who technically qualifies as a god, and we get a glimpse of what he might really of us. We will never be as clever, crafty, or manipulative as he can be. Its an ugly moment, and one that makes you wonder about the Doctor.
