Doctor Who Series 11: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Woman Who Fell To Earth'

7. The Dark Tone

So this sudden dark turn in opening the series was already hinted on in the early reviews for episode one, but that’s not a bad thing. Indeed, it calls to mind the early days of the revived show with Christopher Eccleston: Dark, brooding, but with that little spark of hope.

It's a nice blend of what we expect from Doctor Who, but with a little of Torchwood's more adult darkness thrown in there for good measure, and hopefully that's a mix Series 11 will stick to throughout its duration.
