Drunk History: 5 Reasons To Watch

DH_SXSW_480x320 The TV comedy genre is hard to predict nowadays. Most of the shows end up pandering to the lowest common denominator of TV viewers, writing simplistic jokes that deal almost exclusively in sexual innuendos (and not clever ones, either). When a truly great comedy comes along, it gets accolade after accolade for its ingenuity. We tend to remember these shows well past their expiration dates. The 90s were defined by the likes of Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier; similarly, the 2000s will be remembered for The Office (both the U.K. and U.S. versions), 30 Rock, and It€™s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Even Comedy Central, a network dedicated to all things funny, struggles to create decent original shows. Most of the shows feature popular comedians and their relatively poor attempts at sketch variety shows; however, every now and then, a genuinely funny show comes along. In 2013, that show is Drunk History. Here are 5 reasons why you should be watching Drunk History.
