Family Guy: 10 Best Moments

familyguy Last week, Twentieth Century Fox show Family Guy broke through the 200 episode barrier with "Chris Cross", the 201st episode of the long running show. Show creator Seth MacFarlane was at the centre of attention as he hosted the Oscar's on Sunday, and voices many of Family Guy's main cast members such as Peter, Brian and Stewie Griffin. His rendition of "we saw your boobs" at the start of the award show, in which he made reference to the likes of Angelina Jolie, who have bared all in a number of films, was just one example of how funny Family Guy can be. The show, which has been nominated for thirteen Emmy Awards, winning four times, is known for its surreal, occasionally dark brand of humour, and isn't afraid to court controversy with its sometimes high levels of graphic violence and crude references to celebrities. However, the show was once cancelled after its third season in 2002, only for it to return by popular public demand after garnering a cult following and impressive DVD sales during its three year absence from our screens until 2005. Since then, the show has racked up 11 seasons, with a movie in the works too, proving that the decision to revive the comedy paid off. Here, we sift through the 200+ episodes from the show's run and, to celebrate the milestone, whittle down the ten best moments. Click "Next" to begin.
