First Look: Doctor Who's New Companion Jenna Louise Coleman As Clara

A whole seven months before we will see new Doctor Who companion Jenna-Louise Coleman on our screens, a series of location stills have been released.

a series of location stills have been released giving us our first glimpse of the actress alongside Matt Smith€™s Doctor in what appears to be an episode possibly set around Victorian times. The episode in question is written by Spooks scribe Neil Cross and Ashes To Ashes director Jamie Payne is at the helm, and is one of the 2013 episodes to be shown next spring. In the stills, we see the Doctor wearing a rather mundane grey waistcoat with dark trousers and the now compulsory bow-tie, which could just be to fit in with the look of other characters around him. If that is the case, though, then his new companion isn€™t exactly blending in quite so well with her contemporary coat and bright red satchel bag. Other word from the set is that the name of the Jenna-Louise€™s character was almost overheard on set as Clara, but there has been no confirmation of it yet and knowing Steven Moffat, he€™ll make sure no one knows until he wants them to know. Anyway, all in all it looks like a promising first insight into what is coming in the wake of current companions Amy and Rory€™s departure from the series and expect more coming soon.
