Friends: 10 Most Unbelievable Moments

When your job's a joke, living in a humongous apartment in NYC is a bit unbelievable.

During the course of ten years, the iconic television series Friends definitely pushed the envelope when it came to outlandish antics and plot lines. One season Ross randomly had a monkey for a pet. There was an ugly naked guy who lived across the street that just offered quirky jokes on a plate for the cast of characters. Somehow a masseuse and a struggling actor managed to make ends meet and pay rent for their own individual apartments. Although we all must subscribe to the suspension of disbelief at least a little bit when watching TV series, sometimes Friends pushed viewers a bit too far to believe some of the things that happened on the show. Sometimes it's just hard to believe so many unbelievable things can happen to six average people living in New York in the '90s. Sure Monica's apartment is rent-controlled, but would she really still be able to afford that big of a place? And why is Chandler and Joey's apartment so much smaller than Monica's when the two domiciles are in the same building? Here's a list of some of the more out-there situations that happened during the show's ten seasons on the air. Can they really expect us to believe that everything on the show is possible in the real world?
