Futurama: 5 Reasons Why We'd Love To Watch A 90's Prequel

5. Fry In The 90's

Frys 90s Come on, let€™s face it, we all love Fry. Sure we all have our favourite characters; Bender and his zuban cigars, Malfunctioning Eddie and his insane prices, or Clamps and his clamps. Also some human characters. And some, er, non-human characters. But Fry is the main character, the protagonist of the story. We were welcomed to the world of tomorrow with him, and saw him through his time in the future. The pilot episode alone showed us everything we needed to know about why we€™d love Fry. But Fry in the future has been done now. His story is finished, has run its course. And the only way to look is back. Philip J Fry is in his 20€™s when he is frozen. He€™s a pizza delivery boy in 1999, with a singing dog, a girlfriend he thinks may have been cheating on him, and a family who restocks their nuclear fall out shelter with bananas in case the radiation turns them into monkeys. He has a strong break-dancing rivalry with his older brother, and relies on his trusty Swiss Army knife to stay hungry. Now take all of the things above, and put them into a blender (not a Bender) of creativity, and what do you have? A TV show set in the 90s, following the life a Coney Island College dropout as he lives his life as a loser in New York City.

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
