Game of Thrones: 10 Most Inventive Deaths
10. Lyssa Aryn Takes A Fall
From the moment we first visited the Eyrie, home of House Arryn, it was irresistible to look at the Moon Door and think that a big character would get tossed out of it at some point. That it ended up being Lady Regent of the Vale was a shock. Tyrion Lannister could've suffered that fate, but luckily for us he asked for a trial by combat, which Bronn won by defeating Lysa Arryn's champion all the way back in season one.
Although fans had to wait until the fourth season before someone took the plunge it was totally worth it, as we saw Littlefinger finally show his true colours by pushing Lysa out of it for attempting to kill Sansa. The cruel barb of admitting he'd never loved her was a bit much.
Most of the time characters on Game of Thrones meet their end by getting stabbed to death or having their head chopped off, so watching someone take a six hundred foot drop onto a rocky landscape is clearly quite a way to go. Also, as far as we know, there is no other place in Westeros quite like the Eyrie, which is what makes Lysa's death such a unique one.
