Game Of Thrones: 12 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed In Season 5

1. Jon = Caesar

Arya Game Of Thrones Season 5 Easter Eggs

As well as the biblical reference in Stannis' arc for the season, Jon Snow was effectively remade as Julius Caesar, despite only wanting the best for everyone (a sure-fire way of being dead meat in Westeros).

Like Caesar, Snow was killed by his supposed brothers, stabbed multiple times, with only one of the wounds serious enough to be fatal. Even more importantly, Jon was betrayed by someone he considered a close ally, in Olly. He was effectively Snow's Brutus, and hopefully the little sh*t feels as guilty as Brutus did and sacrifices himself to the White Walkers like he definitely deserves to.

Does this all mean that Snow's death will lead to Civil War as it did when Caesar was slain? Will the Watch be torn apart? Will the Northern lords rally behind a newly resurrected Super Snow to fight the Night's Watch, the Lannisters, the Boltons and the Freys? We can only hope so.
