Game Of Thrones: 5 Characters That Should (But Probably Won't) Be In Season 4

5. The Kettleblacks

kingsguard First things first, apologies for the generic Kingsguard image, but usable pictures of some fairly minor characters from the books are mostly nonexistent across the vastness of the internet for some reason. Oswald, Osney and Osfryd Kettleblack are three brothers who first appear in King€™s Landing in A Clash Of Kings, the second book in the series. They do comparatively little until A Feast For Crows, the fourth, but do appear on several occasions as the likes of Littlefinger, Cersei and Tyrion make use of their supposed loyalty to each of them. Why then, should they be included in a season based on a book in which they barely appear? Firstly, because elements of Cersei€™s story from A Feast For Crows are likely to be bumped up, given that she has little involvement in anything other than the upcoming marriage between her son Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell. Secondly, because the Kingsguard (the seven knights tasked with protecting the royal family) haven€™t really been featured in detail yet, with every minor member other than Meryn Trant played by an extra in helmet. Thirdly, because it gives reason to include more scenes of Tyrion and his sister Cersei (and perhaps Littlefinger and Varys) scheming against one another. Such scenes have been a highlight of previous seasons, and long should they continue.
