Game Of Thrones: 5 Deadliest Places In Westeros

It's a dangerous land out there, and at least 396 people know that all too well.

Let's face the facts, if you're looking for a nice family holiday with sun, sea and a low death toll, Westeros probably isn't for you. Game of Thrones doesn't even have an official name for it's entire map other than The Known World, and it certainly isn't the most peaceful land you could choose to spend your time in. From sprawling battles to brothel brawls to molten gold 'crowns', the entire culture of the Seven Kingdoms and beyond is designed to kill you. If you hang on long enough to die a natural death, you could consider yourself a true winner with only Maester Aemon lucky enough to receive that on-screen honour. But if you're still adamant on a trip to Westeros, at least heed our travel warnings. There are several particular locations out there that you seriously don't need to spend much of your time at otherwise you'll find yourself 6ft under before you can say: 'Valar Morghulis'. The following stats are based on various bits of research from the Washington Post, Statista, and of course, Game of Thrones itself. Do yourself a favour: Avoid the five most dangerous places in George R.R. Martin's entire world. This only takes into account specifically seen on-screen deaths, as opposed to estimates from some of the biggest battle locations on the map.
