Game Of Thrones: 8 New Pieces Of Evidence That Jon Snow Will Return

3. "Jon Snow Is Dead" Doesn't Mean He's Not Coming Back

Jon Snow Alive Theories
HBO

A whole lot of people associated with HBO have gone on record as saying Jon Snow is dead. The latest was HBO president Michael Lombardo who said, "He be dead. Yes. From everything I’ve seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is dead.”

Obviously it's even more true if it rhymes.

That isn't the question, though. Everyone knows Jon Snow is dead. You don't get stabbed repeatedly by half of the Night's Watch and lie bleeding on the ground only to wake up a bit sore the next day. No, it's obvious to anyone who watched the finale that the character was killed, but the question is whether or not he'll be resurrected, and that's a question nobody has answered.

Really, take a look at nearly every quote about Jon from people associated with the show. Lombardo said Jon's dead. Director David Nutter said "Jon Snow is deader than dead." Showrunner Dan Weiss told Entertainment Weekly, "Dead is dead." Not a single one of these people has actually said that Jon Snow isn't coming back; they've just confirmed that he died in the finale, and even if he's resurrected in the Season 6 premiere, they were still technically telling the truth.

You can maybe start to worry if someone official says, "No, Jon snow won't be resurrected," but that will almost definitely never happen.
