Game Of Thrones: 9 Early Predictions For Season 7

8. Tyrion Will Be Back To His Best (And Learn About Myrcella)

Tyrion was rather wasted during Season 6. He had to spend most of his time in Meereen, trying his best to engage Grey Worm and Missandei in some japes, without much luck.

It's still ok to watch, because Peter Dinklage is great in the role, and even if you forced him to act alongside cardboard cutouts of the rest of the cast he'd still be charismatic as hell. But he deserves better.

Tyrion quickly became everyone's favourite character on the show thanks to his quick-wit, and that was best displayed when he was serving as Hand of the King, actually getting to be in King's Landing and making plots and playing people off against each other (the scene where he takes on Pycelle, Varys, and Littlefinger is a great example).

Now that he's Hand of the Queen, and actually has a renewed purpose, we should see Tyrion getting back to his best. He's at the heart of one of the biggest storylines, with plenty of major characters to interact with. Just the thought of him and Olenna Tyrell engaging in some scheming is enough to seriously whet the appetite for Season 7.

On top of that, there's Daenerys' newfound alliance with Dorne - something Tyrion may not be too happy about once he discovers the truth about Myrcella. Ellaria and the Sand Snakes killed his niece, who he sent to Dorne to keep safe. It seems likely he'll find out the truth, because he will obviously ask and be able to detect their lies. The question is whether they can stick together once he does.
