Game Of Thrones: Every Season 7 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

7. 'Stormborn'

After the expositionally-heavy opening episode, 'Stormborn' continued to set up all of the season's chess pieces, as Dany tried to follow Tyrion's plan for conquest, Cersei called for fealty from the Westerosi Lords (and the Tarlys took over as their key allies) and Jon heads off to Dragonstone.

The writing is all good, and we did get to see a couple of real stand-out moments (the disarmingly devastating "you are my weakness" scene between Grey Worm and Missandei for instance, and Euron's attack on Yara's fleet), but it slightly lacks the spectacle of later episodes.

It's an episode built on character moments and foreshadowing rather than explosions and huge revelations, which is no bad thing at all, and it is in no way a bad episode. It's just the least of this season.

Best Moment:

Grey Worm and Missandei's romantic sex scene.

Worst Moment:

More like Worst Mormont: Jorah being cured was great and all, but there will never be anything on TV as provocatively disgusting as the edit from Sam peeling him to Arya cutting into her pie.
