8. More Children Of The Forest

Long before the First Men turned up, the Children of the Forest were living freely in Westeros. A mythical race full of wisdom and magic, who could live for centuries, they've hardly been explored in the TV show barring a few brief appearances alongside Bran.

A series set during the Age of Heroes, when the Children of the Forest shared the land with the First Men and even fought alongside them, means that they should get their turn in the spotlight.

There's still a lot of mystery surrounding them, and the show hasn't even started to scratch the surface of just what powers they have and how they might use them. Game of Thrones has been very much centred on the human characters, but this is a chance to get a closer look at a completely different but equally as interesting and important race.
