Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From S5E8 Hardhome

It's going to be a wild(ling) ride.

Game of Thrones enters the home-straight this week, as we arrive at the eighth episode of season 5. That means there€™s only three more hours to be spent in Westeros before the torturous 10-month wait begins all over again. There€™s still plenty to resolve this season before we reach that stage, with stories spread across the Seven Kingdoms and Essos, all of which will be coming to a head in the next couple of weeks before the season finale. Last week€™s episode, The Gift, moved everything into position for the final run, bringing a lot of the key storylines into a clear focus. We saw Maester Aemon die, Sam and Gilly share a tender moment, Sansa try to break through all the Reek to get to Theon, Cersei get arrested, and the not-so-small matter of Tyrion Lannister finally meeting Daenerys Targaryen. Oh, and some stuff happened in Dorne, but no one is really caring about that at the minute. This week then will deal with some of the fallout from that, while there€™s also Arya€™s story to go back to as well, as the show picks up the pace heading towards its climax. Here€™s a look at what we can expect to see.
