Game Of Thrones Season 6 Finale: 5 Hints Lady Stoneheart Will Appear

And 6 She Absolutely, Positively Won't...

As long as Game Of Thrones continues to deviate away from the source material without exploring all of the storylines or introducing all of the characters George RR Martin wrote into his books, there will be calls for those missing elements to be introduced.

Unfortunately for book fans looking for more familiarity, the list of missing characters who could possibly be introduced is now shrinking rapidly. Coldhands was one of the few big names left to bring in, and the confirmation of the Benjen/Coldhands theory obviously dealt with that.

Now, it seems that only Lady Stoneheart - the resurrected, vengeful Catelyn Stark - remains, and fans have long called for her to be introduced. Unfortunately, so far the many hints to her appearance have led to nothing, but there is still hope that the season 6 finale will finally see her introduction. It feels like it's been a long time coming, but it's not just wishful thinking: there are still multiple hints that she's on her way (as well as several that she's never going to).

So first up, here's the good news for Lady Stoneheart theorists...

5. Bran's Vision

Bran Game Of Thrones
HBO

When Bran was escaping his entirely despicable (but accidental, sort of) murder of Hodor by proxy, he was haunted by fast paced visions, including wildfire, his father, the Mad King and a bloodied hand (presumably belonging Lianna Stark). They seemed to show a shape of how the rest of the season would go, and as every fan knows, nothing in Game of Thrones is done without intention.

The vision includes a quick-cut of Catelyn having her throat cut, swiftly followed by a shot of Daenerys being reborn, the Night's King turning a baby and Ned Stark's death. Basically, an overall picture of murder, rebirth, zombies and Stark vengeance. If that doesn't point to Lady Stoneheart, I don't know what does.
