Game Of Thrones Season 7: 16 Best Internet Reactions To "Stormborn"

WAIT, DID YOU JUST ASSUME AZOR AHAI'S GENDER?!

After a brilliantly slow first episode, season 7 of Game Of Thrones awoke in a shower of sparks, eye-liner and fabulous space pirate glitter as Euron crowned the episode with a devastating attack that destroyed Dany's plans, killed off some stray, poor characters and sent Theon Greyjoy back weeks in his therapy. And that was just the final five minutes or so of another jam-packed episode that sent storylines in completely different directions and saw two major returns without either of them even being Gendry.

Inevitably, the fandom reacted to the episode with generous outpourings of hype, theorising and flat-out hatred of Euron Greyjoy. There was an incredibly tender sex scene to celebrate, more feminism and a horribly devastating insight into the psychology of mental and physical abuse in Theon's arc. And there was still room for Jon to challenge Littlefinger, Lyanna Mormont to challenge Jon and that scene between Sam and Jorah to challenge everyone watching not to barf up every morsel of food in their bellies.

Come on, who starts with the nipple? Seriously?!

The crowning moments were left to Arya and a certain rotund chef, Arya and her returning hound (not that one) and Grey Worm and his lady love saying what better not be their last farewells in spectacularly gorgeous fashion. Only in Westeros could you find a 50/50 split between tearful romantic outpouring, no-dick jokes and good old fashioned, gutter level filth. God bless you all...
