Game Of Thrones Season 7: 9 Things You Might've Missed In 'Stormborn'

The dragons prove it.

Game of Thrones picked up the pace slightly this week with Stormborn. Although still largely concerned with setting the table for the rest of this penultimate year, we did get the season's first big action sequence as Euron attacked his niece and nephew.

Also in terms of things actually happening, Arya - after reunions with Hot Pie and Nymeria - decided to head home, Daenerys decided to attack Casterly Rock, and Jon Snow is finally set to meet the Mother of Dragons.

Within all that it was once again an episode packed full of hidden details and references. The showrunners themselves came out and stated Arya's "that's not you" line was a callback to Season 1, when she said "that's not me" to Ned, and others were spelled out in the show, such as Tyrion using the same line about dwarves and bastards he did in the very first episode.

Due to the thrilling finale, and the prospect of ice meeting fire, there were plenty more references that were easy to overlook during this week's episode.

Honourable Mention: The Letters

This was an episode very much concerned with the art of letter writing, with Jon Snow receiving two ravens, while Jorah Mormont penned a heartfelt goodbye to Daenerys.

We didn't really get a good look at any of them in the episode itself, though it was easy enough to work out the gist, but Making Game Of Thrones have helpfully put high-res images of the props online, so we can see exactly what they said - and get a little emotional over that Jorah one.

Along with these letters, they also revealed the ingredients for the paste Sam makes to cure greyscale, and it's startlingly simple: pine resin, elder bark, beeswax, and olive oil.
