Game Of Thrones Season 7 Implications: What "The Queen's Justice" Really Means

The Queen Of Thrones strikes back.

Despite how much shorter season seven has to be compared to the rest of Game Of Thrones' run so far, it's impressive how subtly HBO are building it right now. Rather than offering seven bloated episodes of battle porn, we've seen only two major military set-pieces, with a far more thoughtful, artful build that is allowing the characters room to breathe and grow.

It might not be quite satiating those appetites piqued by the Battle Of The Bastards, but it is far more interesting to watch the show continue to move chess pieces around as the dynamics of the Great Game shift every week. And despite the weight of exposition as those stories begin to intertwine more and more, it still feels like the show is hurtling forward at a satisfying pace.

The latest episode brought a big reunion, huge battles (which were far from fetishised and barely even shown), major death, huge emotion and delicious hints at prophecies and theories coming to bear. And that's without mentioning the meeting of Jon and Dany, Tyrion's hysterical commentary, Euron Greyjoy's delightful peacocking and some quite horrific vengeance.

In short, it was another triumph of an episode, perfectly balanced and beautifully poised. But what does it all mean?
