There wasn't much of a change to the opening credits this week - although there were scorpions lining the walls of King's Landing - but the credits did factor in in another way.

All season, the King's Landing segment has taken us to a few key points of the city: the stairwell of the Red Keep, the map room, the dragon skulls, and the Throne Room.

In the episode, we get Cleganebowl on the stairs, we get key scenes between Jaime & Cersei and Arya & the Hound in the map room, and the cellar with the skulls is where it all comes crashing down on top of the Lannisters, much like the shot spiralling down the Red Keep in the credits too. All that's left is the Iron Throne, which we should be seeing next week, presumably covered in ash.
