Game Of Thrones Season 8: 8 Clues From Episode 2's Trailer

7. Tyrion Torn

Tyrion Episode Two
HBO

In the first episode, there were hints that Tyrion might be feeling even more removed from Dany and Jon's inner circle. That scene of him on the wall with Davos and Varys confirmed him as an outsider to be "tolerated" rather than trusted and then the hint of jealousy in Drogon was very much meant to echo Tyrion's own feelings of being "left out" here and in season 7's final moments.

The arrival of Jaime, who Tyrion owes his life to thanks to him allowing him to escape King's Landing rather than be executed, will tear him away from Dany even more. She clearly wants Jaime to pay for killing her father and Tyrion will naturally advise against it, not least because she's already being held accountable for mistreatment of the Tarlys when they were her captives (but also mostly because he still loves his brother).

There's one brief shot in the trailer that shows Tyrion watching Dany walk by and you can sense the pain and anguish in him. Were being led to believe that friction now more than ever.
