Game Of Thrones Season 8: 8 Huge Questions 'The Bells' Leaves Behind

8. What's Happening In The North?

Game of Thrones Last Of The Starks
HBO

Building upon the end of The Last of the Starks, Episode 5 takes place entirely in the South, with the action spread across Dragonstone and King’s Landing. It’s a logical choice, because there’s a lot to get through here without much of an opportunity to deviate away, but it does leave what’s going on in the North as something of a mystery.

There are still a lot of key characters left at Winterfell, not least in the form of two of the most important: Sansa and Bran Stark. The former has a rivalry with Daenerys that feels like it needs some closure, and the latter, aside from keeping Westeros’ history, surely has to do *something*.

Are they both just sat round the fire, with Bran relaying what’s happened? Is there’s some plotting going on? There’s a vast chasm between North and South right now, which needs to be crossed next week.
