Game Of Thrones Theory: 10 Hints Jon Snow Will Become King In The North

10. The North Remembers

The Boltons may have command of the North, but it's built on treachery, deceit, and working with the Lannisters and Freys against the Starks, the House most Northmen and women consider their true rulers. We know this, but importantly so do the Lords of many Northern houses, and they aren't going to forget it anytime soon. Throughout A Dance with Dragons there are numerous reminders of this loyalty to the Starks, and bitterness towards the Boltons and the Freys:
"Bear Island knows no king but the King in the North, whose name is STARK." - Lyanna Mormont. "I would sooner my men die fighting for the Ned€™s little girl than alone and hungry in the snow, weeping tears that freeze upon their cheeks...Let me bathe in Bolton blood before I die." - Northern clansman. "The North remembers, Lord Davos. The North remembers, and the mummer€™s farce is almost done." - Lord Manderly
Three different quotes, from three different people who represent various houses and interests. All are loyal to the Starks, and all know just what the Boltons and Freys have done. The last line is perhaps the most crucial. The farce - the Boltons pretending to be the true rulers of the North, fellow Northern houses feigning fealty - is almost over, because there's a plan in place to remove the Boltons from power, and restore the Starks to their rightful seat.
