Game Of Thrones: 10 Best Character Pairings So Far

Two is the magic number.

One of the most successful elements of HBO's adaptation of the 'Song Of Ice And Fire' series is its ability to flesh out characters that didn't get the same sort of focus in the books. With these changes, coupled with some mesmerising adaptations of some established favourite chapters, Game Of Thrones has delivered some of the greatest acting performances currently on television. There are some obvious fan favourites; Charles Dance€™s Tywin Lannister, Peter Dinklage as his son Tyrion and Maisie William's Arya Stark are all revelations on the screen, but the real magic of the show is when great characters pair up and we've had some electric romances, bromances and tete-a-tetes over the last four years. Some have been lifted straight out of the books while others have been adapted for the show, giving us that insight into characters who never had a point of view chapter in the books. In fleshing out the world of Game Of Thrones, these character relationships have become the core of what makes this show so engaging each week.
