Game Of Thrones: 4 Great Parodies To Watch Before Season 4
The wait for the new series is almost over.
Since its debut in 2011, HBO's Game Of Thrones has rapidly become a global phenomenon, entrancing viewers around the world with its unique and often shocking interweaving storylines, which incorporate war, betrayal, political scheming, sex, conquest and dragons, amongst other things. The widespread popularity of the show and its source material, George R.R. Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire literary series, has resulted in a number of official tie-ins being released over the years, from Lego and action figurines to board games, a trading card game and even a cookbook. Its style, however, is ripe for parody, particularly on the Internet, where many have chosen to satirise its traits in a variety of shapes and forms. As we rapidly approach the premiere date of the series' fourth season, let us look at four such parodies (or sets of parodies), taking a humorous look at things before the next run of ten episodes, which should be riveting given the quality of their source material the second half of A Storm Of Swords.
