Game Of Thrones: 5 Winners & 5 Losers In 'Breaker Of Chains'

It's not looking good for Meereen right now...

This article contains SPOILERS throughout, up to and including the latest episode. As part of our weekly coverage of Game of Thrones Season 4 here at WhatCulture, we're bringing you another collection of the five biggest winners and the five worst losers from the latest episode: €˜Breaker of Chains€™. We€™re really getting deep into the meat of the story early on this season, without the one-to-two episode reintroduction to the characters and settings that we€™ve seen in the past. Season 4 has thrown us straight in at the deep end, taking off with a main character€™s death after just two episodes. You get the sense that there is a real shift in the dynamic of the direction of the show. Up until the Red Wedding we believed the story was about the good guys, with their quest to set right the wrongs done by those who would have the realm for themselves. We€™re talking about the Starks, of course, whose surviving members are now scattered on the fringes of the central cast. After all this time, we€™ve come to realise that the story is really all about the Lannisters; it has always been about the Lannisters, and the madness they impose upon themselves in their struggle to dominate the Seven Kingdoms. Having said that, you can€™t place a bet on anyone lasting until the end of the conflict, if it ever comes at all. Joffrey, the boy-king everyone thought would go on living like some kind of cruel joke on the audience, has proved the show€™s tagline for Season 4: All men must die. But enough of the mini-analysis on the state of things so far, it€™s time to find out who were this week€™s winners and losers in €˜Breaker of Chains€™.
