Ghost Rider Definitely IS Coming To Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

When Hell is full...

Ghost Rider RObbie Reyes

It's a shame that Marvel haven't yet decided to bring Ghost Rider back from the wilderness with either a movie or an R-Rated TV show of his own. Even despite what Nic Cage did to the character, he remains a beloved comic book figure who has gone through several iterations and has an immediately iconic appeal that few other characters can match. His head is literally on fire, for God's sake, what more do you people want?!

It does seem that Marvel are finally doing something with Ghost Rider's rights though, having taken them back after Spirit of Vengeance turned out to be a comic bust of a turkey. They're bringing the deathly biker to their TV universe, just not to Netflix, sadly.

As expected from an older rumour, the character will debut in the forthcoming season of Agents Of SHIELD. Latino-Review say the deal is completed.

But it won't be Johnny Blaze who appears: as the casting call asking for "a pair of Latino brothers, one of whom is always the most dangerous person in the room, the other paralyzed in a wheelchair" suggested, we're getting Robbie Reyes, who drives a fiery muscle car rather than the more classic motorbike.

Does that mean we'll actually get to see Blaze or even Danny Ketch elsewhere in the Marvel universes? Let's hope so, but at this stage it's probably not the time to start holding your breath.
