Gotham Trailer: 5 Things We Can Now Expect

If nothing else, it's certainly interesting.

After months of heavy speculation Fox has finally released the trailer for their highly anticipated Batman prequel series, Gotham, only hours after announcing it was getting a full series order. The trailer offers fans their first look at not only what the show will look like, but what the story for several of these characters will be and how they will interact with each other. It also gives fans more reason to be optimistic as the exploration of Gotham City before Batman has been treated several times before through several different mediums, albeit briefly, most notably in Year One, Batman Begins and the Zero Year story currently running in the comics. Gotham seems to be going in a different direction than those other titles, making a somewhat unique experience for both diehard and casual Batman fans alike. Previously fans had to rely on contradictory statements from showrunner Bruno Heller and Fox president Kevin Reilly regarding the show€™s premise. Heller described Gotham as a cop show with superheroes, promoting the fact Jim Gordon was the main character, while Reilly described it as Smallville for Batman, giving a look at how young Bruce Wayne becomes Batman up to the end of the series. With the release of the trailer, however, fans now can get a firmer idea of what to expect from the show so without further ado, here are five of those expectations for Gotham. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RTa70CRF30&src_vid=FCtF7WRN5M0&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_4149680251
