House Will End After Season 8

After eight (mostly) glorious seasons, House will finally be closing its doors once and for all.

House will finally be closing its doors once and for all. Hugh Laurie has been tossing around the idea for a little while now, and we all kind of saw it coming, but it is still a sight for sore eyes. The series has always been a bit of a turbulent rollercoaster, ratings wise, but this season has been especially rough after some fairly complex negotiations just to get it renewed. But alas, Fox has finally decided to pull the plug on House though not without a somewhat heavy heart. Of the news, Fox wrote €œ"The decision to end the show now, or ever, is a painful one, as it risks putting asunder hundreds of close friendships that have developed over the last eight years €” but also because the show itself has been a source of great pride to everyone involved." House has been a particular favorite over here at WhatCulture, and through it all we have followed it. It will soon be time to say goodbye and we will have to turn to new Fox shows to keep our spirits aloft. As many of you most likely know, Hugh Laurie is a man of many talents and will continue his work in music and film, possibly even behind the camera. Still, I can€™t say we won€™t miss the quippy speeches.
