It’s approaching seven years since How I Met Your Mother aired its final episode. After a total of 208 episodes across nine seasons, the beloved sitcom finally came to a close in March 2014.
Like certain other such sitcoms, How I Met Your Mother hasn’t let its end bring a halt to its popularity, with so many people regularly revisiting the show in the years since it concluded. Key to that final season, of course, was the wedding of Barney and Robin, as the majority of Season Nine spotlighted the 56 hours leading up to the pair’s marriage. Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney Stinson was such a fan favourite character on How I Met Your Mother, but it’s likely fair to say that Barney wouldn’t be anywhere near as popular or as entertaining and engaging were it not for having Cobie Smulders’ Robin Scherbatsky to play off of.
