Iron Fist: Danny Rand Punches His Way Out Of Misery In First Teaser

The first teaser for Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist is here, and it's brief, cryptic and emotionally charged.

It offers the first official look at Games Of Thrones' Finn Jones as Danny Rand and a hint at his explosive origin story and the death of his parents. We also get a pretty major hint at Rand's powers (given his ability to punch through a significantly thick wall). With him and Power Man on the same team, evil in Hell's Kitchen is going to be waking up with a seriously sore jaw.

Let's get this out of the way immediately: that is a terrible beard. But since he's walking around New York barefooted looking for the people who killed his parents, it's sort of forgivable that he wouldn't take a detour to invest in some oil and a comb.

Still, it's great to see the first footage from the show, even if it's pretty cryptic. But that's all that's needed at this stage: Netflix want to sell this as a pure revenge show, rather than one that will no doubt get complicated by the magical lore and supernatural elements that we know will be coming.

For now, it's best to appeal to more mainstream audiences with that left for later.
