At long last, it's almost time for a return to Jessica Jones' corner of Hell's Kitchen.
The first season of the show arrived way back in November 2015, when Netflix's Marvel Universe was only one season deep and there was no evidence as to its long-term viability. Jessica Jones, following in Daredevil's footsteps, helped prove that this darker, more grounded and adult take on the MCU could work.
Now, two-and-a-half years, four new shows, and five seasons later, Jessica Jones returns having never been bettered. Although the character did pop up (and help prop up) in The Defenders, there are a number of dangling threads for her show to address, and with the comeback a month away we've got a new trailer to give us some more clues as to what we can expect.
Following on from last year's teaser, this new look nicely sets the season for the show's return, dropping some interesting hints, re-establishing the tone, and ending with a tease that's likely to have a major bearing on our hard-hitting, hard-drinking hero, although not everything came out looking quite as good.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
