Justified: Raylan Givens' 5 Most Badass Moments

Season 1

Just4Episode: Long in the Tooth Quote: "You take one more step, I'll shoot you. That's all I'm gonna say." In the fourth episode of the first season we find Raylan looking for a fugitive who escaped him once before. This is pretty standard stuff but it turns out the man, Roland Pike, is rather popular with the Miami mob who have sent a hit squad after him. Once they notice that Raylan is searching for Pike they decide to follow him and them both in a convenient double whammy. As the chase leads the Marshall out into the desert he notices that he is being followed by the gangsters and decides to confront them. Cue sweeping western-showdown style camera angles and narrowed eyes as the Raylan instructs the men not to advance any further. Of course, not being good honest folk, the senior goon fails to comply. This is a terrible decision as Raylan keeps his promise and shoots him without a moment's hesitation. The best thing about this exchange is that we are shown that Justified is no nonsense television. Any other show would have had the mobster slowly advance on him with repeated warnings and dramatic music. Not so here, *step*... *BANG*. That is all. This is a perfect example of how to construct a modern western scene.
