Legend Of Korra: 5 Things We Can Look Forward To In Book 3

Due to Book 2 ending the way it did, with the Spirit world being blown wide open and Korra's link to her past lives severed, it comes as no surprise that the title of Book 3 is 'Change'. Creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko revealed the title of Book 3 to the Wall Street Journal Speakeasy blog during an interview following the Book 2 finale, also advising that the 3rd Book will be "all about Korra dealing with the change of the world in this point in time. At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit." Although there isn't much Book 3 information available, we have enough, along with a leaked screencap or two, to get me thinking about what I'm most looking forward to in Book 3. Book 2 was an epic installment to the Legend of Korra, there were quite a few much-needed developments like Korra's improved connection to the Spirit World that saw our introduction to the very first Avatar, Wan, along with some old familiar faces and an emphasis on family dynamics. While all of this was well and good, Book 2 was also plagued by a few slow episodes, a return to 'bullheaded' Korra and the angst-ridden teen romance that we could have done without. However, by the end of the series Korra, and the audience, are left in a state of flux. Book 3 will be set a mere few weeks after the events of the Book 2 finale, as the Avatar goes forward without that link to the past. With the Spirit World now in the same Dimension as the Physical World and the relationships aspect set to be put on the back burner for the upcoming, let's look at the information available and discuss what it could entail and what we're most excited about.
