The Lost Prophet
One of our first clues comes via Don's introduction to Randall Welch (
Lost's William Mapother) in "The Flood". Spotting a potential client in the insurance man Don suggests they meet. Instead he receives this rather cryptic response: "Weve already met. In fact Im pretty sure weve had this meeting already too and it went well. Either Mapother is still time traveling with the others or we are witnessing some pretty ingenious foreshadowing. The truth is it's both (although in
Mad Men's more grounded universe the time travel relies more on metaphor than meteor).
