Marvel's Iron Fist: Danny Rand Debuts In Cool New Trailer

"A change is coming, Danny..."

It's almost that delightful time of year again when Marvel release a whole new batch of Netflix universe episodes, this time focusing on the final member of the Defenders, Danny Rand. And now the self-styled Iron Fist has made his debut in the first trailer for the hotly anticipated show, showing off his powers, hinting at his tragic backstory and revealing the villains he will face.

Stylised with some odd music (in terms of the choice at least), this looks like a far less political show than Luke Cage, with a lighter initial feel, even though there's still the same sort of brutal violence. And wouldn't you know it, it looks like there's going to be another corridor fight...

You can see that the white-washing accusations are going to stick, even if it looks as good as the other three Netflix shows (which is as much a shame as it is wholly inevitable). And it does feel like Finn Jones will have a lot more hard work to do to convince everyone he's the right man for the job.

Still, it's a mostly great trailer and a great introduction to the character, with the effects work on his hands (a very important element, obviously) looking perfectly bad-ass.
