Marvel's The Defenders: 8 Big Questions We Need Answers To

7. How Will All Those Supporting Characters Fit In?

Marvel's big team-up events have always found time for the odd supporting character as well as the main group of heroes. From Pepper Potts and Erik Selvig showing up in The Avengers to Heimdall, Sam Wilson and, er, Erik Selvig again playing a part in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Defenders is going above and beyond the movies in this area, though, as just about every major side character will feature in the show.

Given the increasingly ballooning cast, you have to wonder how all these characters are going to fit in. Will they only pop up in the first episode before the team get together or will they have protracted roles throughout the series?

Obviously, The Defenders has a much larger canvas to work with, as it has eight hours to fill rather than two and a half. Still, with the four Defenders and their dynamic to focus on, it surely can't have a lot of room to feature the heroes' respective friends and family in any large sense.
