NBC have greenlit three new television shows for the 2010/11 season. They are: The Event, created by Nick Wauters (The 4400), starring Jason Ritter (The Class) as a man whose investigation into his missing fiance exposes a huge government cover-up, to co-star Laura Innes (ER), Sarah Roemer (Disturbia), Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls), Zeljko Ivanek (Damages) and Blair Underwood (Dirty Sexy Money) as the US President; Outsourced, about a novelty company from the mid-west of America that has its call centre outsourced to India, starring Ben Rappaport; and writer-director Cindy Chupak (Sex & The City) has created Love Bites, an hourlong comedy about two single women whose friends have all married, starring Becki Newton (Ugly Betty) and Jordana Spiro (My Boys).

The Love Bites pilot looks good, notable especially as it had Becki Newton starring. The Event sounds like it might be interesting too, lots of notable names there.
Outsourced sounds awful and something that the old NBC would’ve commissioned. They did a show similar on ITV which I caught an episode of once. It was just abysmal and not funny
Yes, Mumbai Calling. I did wonder if Outsourced was a US remake of that ITV show, but it was probably just a coincidence. Of the three, The Event grabs my interest more, but I hope the “cover-up” is interesting. The premise is a bit vague right now.
Wow how stupid can u get? Outsourced was a movie first. N a damn good one based on real life. Anyway if some stupid western girl has a romance with eastern guys everyone cheers, or when they make fun of eastern cultures it’s seen as funny but when we laugh back and put u on the spot u ppl bitch n moan. Shut the f k up n enjoy seeing urselves from others perspective!
