Netflix: 10 Original Horror Series To Binge This Halloween

A newly released original "anime" from the same studio that created Castlevania, Seis Manos is set in Mexico in the 1980s, combining supernatural and horror elements with Chinese martial arts, while adding the all too real element of gang violence and murder mystery solving and a bit of blaxspoitation into the mix.

While it at first seems like your standard action cartoon, it turns surprisingly dark very quickly, matching a bit of the blood and gore seen in Castlevania, with a unique Mexican folkloric and cultural flare on top of monsters and mysteries.

The series follows three older adoptive siblings in a Mexican town all trained under their Sifu, who are at first attacked by seemingly unrelated monsters created by a bloodthirsty gang leader called El Balde the "Orphan Maker". Eventually working with a visiting black American DEA Agent and the local police chief to stop El Balde, the three also discover things about their Sifu's strange past, culminating in a mystery bigger than it seems at first.

The action is amazingly choreographed, and the story is compelling from start to finish, and while more horror action than full horror, this series is definitely worth the watch this October.
