New GLOW Season 2 Trailer Brings Drama In And Out Of The Ring

Here we GLOW again.

GLOW Season 2
Netflix

GLOW's second season will hit Netflix in just over a fortnight, and Netflix are ramping up the hype with a new, full trailer.

After a teaser that featured the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling singing along to Flashdance's She's A Maniac, this latest look at Season 2 actually gives us a few clues about what we can expect, with plenty of drama both in and out of the ring.

Once again the focus is predominantly on Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin), both of whom have their own struggles to face: the former after her abortion, which she hasn't told anyone about, and fending off the advances of a TV executive; the latter with being a single parent.

The show-within-a-show faces its own problems as well, with the ladies being overlooked for a male promotion instead, with the trailer showcasing how the series will be tackling issues such as sexism and racism this year. The wrestling is once again important and gets given its own showcase - with a montage gloriously set to Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out For A Hero - but even more important are the relationships between GLOW's stars.

To that end, then, GLOW Seaosn 2 will, as Sam says, "Set the weirdos free and see what happens."
