In 2009 the America TV show Glee was released. The show, although originally idealised to be a feature length movie, ran for a life span of six seasons with the cast regularly rotating as the seasons went on.
It follows the story of a teacher called Will taking over the Glee club at the school he teaches at following his break up with his wife. The Glee Club is an unpopular club notorious for being an extracurricular activity for the victims of bullies or the friendless students at the school. The Glee Club even had the power to turn a bully into a target for bullies. As the show progresses the club gains a diverse group of members from all walks of life who learn to accept each other and find friendship and a home together.
