Riverdale: 8 Biggest Questions We Have For Season 4

7. Have We Seen The Last Of Edgar Evernever (And The Farm)?

Edgar Evernever's arrival in Riverdale had been foreshadowed since the previous season, so when he showed up with his Farm at the school musical, viewers knew to expect some shady dealings. Of course, that's exactly what we got because, even though he looked as dreamy as Chad Michael Murray, Mr. Evernever was not to be trifled with.

In the end, Betty's intuition was 100% spot-on (but god forbid anyone ever listen to one of the only sane people in town, right?) and Edgar was using his Farm to brainwash his followers into believing they could see their deceased loved ones, all while convincing them that they needed surgery to purge them of their sins in a bid to secretly harvest their organs.

However, the real twist came in the finale when Edgar wasn't apprehended for his crimes and that he, and the rest of his Farm, "ascended". While we still aren't quite sure what that actually means, the fact that it's the word associated with an act of death and/or sacrifice in Gryphons & Gargoyles is quite troubling. Though it's unlikely that he, Evelyn, Alice or the other "Farmies" died, the fact that he disappeared does suggest that his return is a certainty.

With that in mind, is Chad Michael Murray about to follow in the footsteps of Mark Consuelos and become Riverdale's new permanent hunky villain? It certainly seems like a strong possibility, doesn't it?
