The Simpsons And Family Guy Cross-Over 'Simpsons Guy' Gets First Image

Homer Simpson vs Peter Griffin is finally happening!

Fox Network has announced that its two longest running animated series The Simpsons and Family Guy will finally appear on screen together in a bonafide cross over episode later this year. The thought of having Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin sharing screen time is something fans of both shows have wanted for the last decade but with the difference in tone between the two shows it seemed virtually impossible. All this changed however when Fox€™s Kevin Reilly made the announcement at the channel's Upfront presentation. Over the years Family Guy has been famous for parodying other shows almost continuously but the closest there€™s ever been to an actual crossover in a Simpsons episode was when Hank and Peggy Hill made a brief cameo at a football game many moons ago. In fact it was South Park that first brought the Simpsons and Family guy together in a series of episodes known as €˜Cartoon Wars€™ that aired on Comedy Central but sadly this was without the cooperation of either show. Details of the storyline are non-existent at press time however what we do know is that the episode will run for 60 minutes and is going by the working title of €˜Simpsons Guy€™. Exactly who will televise the episode in the UK remains to be seen as the shows appear on two different stations over here but for now let€™s just allow ourselves a moment to bask in the glory of this exciting news. Will you be tuning in when the Simpsons and Family Guy crossover lands on TV in September? Let us know in the comments.
