Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy, while still dealing with external threats to the MC, focused moreso on the struggle for power within. The fallout from Donna's death in the final episode of season one is felt all throughout the second season, right up until episode 13, with the tension between Jax and Clay fracturing the entire club.
With such a successful first season to follow, and a dramatic ending fresh in the memory, season two had some big shoes to fill. After starting with one of the darkest, most memorable moments of the entire series, SAMCRO's second outing was received with almost unanimous critical acclaim.
