15. Johnny Lewis
The Role: Half-Sack in the first two seasons.
Lewis left the series after the conclusion of its second season, with Half-Sack killed off to allow the actor to move on. According to Kurt Sutter, Lewis "wasn't happy on the show. Creatively, he really wanted out of his contract. We had ongoing conversations, and we decided we'd find some noble way for him to go. It wasn't my intent to try to be sensational and kill off a main character. People are going to have their reaction, but I don't want an actor that's not happy. It's not good for the actor, and it's not good for the show."
Though he made small appearances in projects like Criminal Minds and The Runaways after leaving the series in 2009, Lewis went on to suffer a string of legal and psychiatric problems that culminated in a tragic and bizarre murder and his own death in late 2012.
