Steven Moffat Sticking With Doctor Who For At Least Another Year

Showrunner to helm his sixth series in 2016.

News just in - It's been announced that Steven Moffat has signed up to remain as Doctor Who's showrunner for at least another year. The writer has been at the helm of the series since 2010 and confirmed that he'll also be sticking around for Series 10 which will be airing in 2016. He has thus far overseen the Eleventh Doctor's tenure as well as introducing John Hurt as a secret incarnation during the franchise's 50th anniversary year. As Wales Online reports, he made the announcement at a special BAFTA Q&A which was held in New York this week to commemorate a decade of the revived series. Series 10 will be his sixth series as executive producer and the third to feature Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, who is expected to continue playing the titular Time Lord beyond 2015. Are you glad that Steven Moffat is staying for Series 10? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below...
